We are committed to the health and wellness of the people who work tirelessly “behind the scenes” to make magic happen. Our industry, however, still has a lot of work to do in order to improve the safety and wellness of entertainment technology professionals. Many freelancers often have inadequate health care insurance and/or financial security – which leads to extremely difficult times when these individuals are ill or injured. And, in the event of a serious injury or death, the financial emergencies for the surviving family members can be devastating.

Behind the Scenes provides assistance in several ways.

The Behind the Scenes charity provides financial support to entertainment technology industry professionals if they, or their immediate dependent family, are seriously ill or injured. Grants are tailored to each individual and uses can include basic living costs, medical related expenses, transportation, and funeral expenses. Behind the Scenes brings help and hope in times of great need.

The Behind the Scenes Counseling Fund is designed to provide early access to mental health and addiction counseling for entertainment technology professionals by assisting with the associated financial burdens.
