This year’s Global Meetings Industry Day is going to look different. While there are plans for a more traditional GMID event to occur sometime in the Fall, the original date of April 14th is not going to be ignored.
What is GMID?
“GMID was created to be an international forum for advocacy, awareness and celebration for the meetings & events industry. Each year, event professionals from around the world come together to raise the collective voice of our community.” - MPI
With the entire world feeling the effects of COVID-19, GMID is the perfect time to acknowledge how the events industry is making a difference during this crisis. In fact, one of the initiatives this year is to share examples of how the meetings industry is helping your community: Tell us what's happening in your city.
There are numerous ways you can take part in the celebration:
Join the LinkedIn event for updates.
Participate in the 12-hour broadcast.
Register for the 90-minute world record attempt webcast (largest virtual meeting).
We hope you can participate!
